Causes and Treatment Methods of Burner Faults in Oil Fired Boilers
Fault symptoms, causes, and handling methods:
1、 The ignition rod of the burner does not ignite
Reason:
1. There are carbon residue and oil stains in the gap between the ignition rods
2. The ignition rod is broken, damp, or leaking
3. The distance between the ignition rods is incorrect, too long or too short
4. The insulation of the ignition rod is damaged and there is a short circuit to ground
5. Ignition cable and transformer failure: Cable disconnection, connector damage, causing short circuit during ignition; Transformer disconnection or other faults
Processing method: 1. Clear. 2. Replace with a new product. 3. Adjust the distance. 4. Change the route. 5. Change lines and transformers
2、 The ignition rod has sparks but does not ignite
Reason:
1. The ventilation gap of the cyclone separator is blocked by carbon deposition, and the ventilation is poor
2. The oil nozzle is dirty, blocked, or worn
3. The throttle setting angle is too small
4. The distance between the tip of the ignition rod and the leading edge of the oil nozzle is not appropriate (too protruding or retracted)
5. The solenoid valve of the first oil gun is blocked by debris (small oil gun)
6. The oil is too viscous to flow easily, or the filtration system is blocked or the oil valve does not open, resulting in insufficient oil pump and low oil pressure
7. The filter screen of the oil pump itself is blocked
8. Oil contains a lot of water (abnormal boiling sound in the heater)
Handling method:
1. Clear
2. First clean, if not possible, replace with a new one
3. Shutdown test
4. Adjust the distance (3-4 mm is better)
5. Disassembly and cleaning (cleaning parts with diesel)
6. Check pipelines, oil filters, and insulation equipment
7. Remove the peripheral screws of the oil pump, carefully remove the outer cover, remove the oil screen inside, and soak it in diesel oil
8. Replace with new engine oil and conduct testing
